This is a bit different from my usual sixties-posts. I have recently been learning about Impressionist paintings in my French class, and I've fallen in love! I especially love the portraits. They really give you insight into the everyday life and culture of La Belle Epoque...

Well, the Academy Awards nominations have been announced, and like every year they have pissed me off. And I'm sure that the once they announce the winners, I will be even more offended.

Okay most of the Hobbit wins there were because I'm biased, I know it wasn't a fantastic movie but I really enjoyed the parts of it that weren't fighting.
